The fastest animals
The Peregrine Falcon
It is considered the fastest bird on Earth as well as the fastest animal of all, and the average speed of this bird can sometimes reach 386 kilometers per hour when landing and pouncing on its prey.
The Cheetah
The fastest animal on land, as its speed reaches 120 kilometers per hour, so the prey pursued by this animal must be able to perform several quick evasions to be able to avoid the cheetah, what distinguishes the cheetah in addition to its speed is its superior ability to increase its speed in record time.
The Antelope
It is considered one of the fastest animals on land. Although the cheetah outperforms the gazelle in speed, the gazelle can maintain its average speed constant over long distances unlike the gazelle, so it is called the marathon animal. The reason for this is the migration of this type of animal for long distances that may exceed 480 kilometers, as the average speed of the gazelle is equal to 89 kilometers per hour.
The Lion
The lion is the second largest cat species in the world and is nicknamed the king of the jungle. In addition to their great speed, lions are characterized by their agility and rapid rush towards their prey. Lions usually hunt alongside others of their kind, which may number between ten and thirty members. Their average speed is 80 kilometers per hour.
The Springbok
It is known as one of the breeds of the gazelle of medium size and African origins, and its average speed is 96 kilometers per hour. What distinguishes the Springbok is its agility and amazing ability to jump great distances, as it can jump to a height of four meters and cover fifteen meters in just one jump. The Springbok's ingenuity is represented in using these characteristics to escape from lions, which consider the Springbok one of their favorite prey.
